Long Branch and Lakeshore Village - Mimico
About The Lakeshore
The Lakeshore in Toronto on the shore of Lake Ontario offers a wide range of shopping, a unique residential area and parks that are unrivalled in Toronto. It is comprised of the former Towns of Mimico, New Toronto and Long Branch. Shopping here is up beat to state of the art to downbeat to folksy and antique. Our forte is “personal service”. As you page through our directory you will find that many of your shopping needs can be fulfilled right on “The Lakeshore”.
There are 30,000 households between Lake Ontario, the Queensway, the Humber River and Etobicoke Creek. Many of these residential areas are within walking distance of our shopping districts along Royal York and the Lakeshore. Our population is multicultural with English, Polish and Italian Canadians comprising a significant percentage of the local residents.
“The Lakeshore” is park heaven with beautiful lands on the shores of Lake Ontario with a magnificent view of the Toronto skyline as well as many neighborhood parks throughout the residential community.
The Red Rocket streetcar runs the length of “The Lakeshore” with 24-hour service and convenient bus service North and South to the Bloor subway. We also have two Go stations, one on Royal York and the other on The Lakeshore at Browns Line. Pearson Airport is 15 minutes north on Highway 427.
